The Office Routing Plus Add-In restores the routing slip features from Office 2003. It works with both Word and Excel.

Works in Word and Excel
Add-In works in Office 2003 and Office 2007 (route documents going both ways)
Better looking graphical user interface (GUI) than the 2003 routing mechanism. The three columns in the grid clearly indicate who has received this document, who it was last sent from, and when the document was sent (see screenshot at left), as well as who it needs to go to next.
